from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on numerous websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.

net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it?

Both .Net and PHP platform has its own advantage, it really depends on what are your expectations from your website and what purpose will it solve. Yes, to maintain a PHP website is comparatively cheaper.
With respect to transferring your WordPress website to dotnetblogengine, do you use it only for Blogs or other functionality as-well? Although, WordPress is a strong PHP based Blogging platform, why do you want to migrate to dotnetblogengine?
